Utilities
Utilities run critical assets across sites that were never wired for modern communications, often on poles and in rights of way somebody else controls. Millennium designs and builds the private fiber that connects treatment plants, pump stations, substations, and transmission infrastructure, clears the make-ready and permitting that has to happen first, and secures the sites once they are on the network.
Every route is spliced, tested, and closed out with as-built documentation, so the utility owns a record of what is actually in the ground rather than what was originally drawn.
What we do for Utilities
Private Fiber to Utility Facilities
Fiber laterals and network extension reaching water treatment plants, pump stations, and remote sites. Route planning that leaves headroom for the locations added next.
Make-Ready Engineering & Permitting
Pole attachment make-ready, telecommunications and electric line coordination, pole-line adjustments, and the permits that have to clear before construction starts.
Fiber Installation, Splicing & Testing
OSP and ISP installation across loose tube, ribbon, tight-buffered, and OPGW cable. Fusion splicing, OTDR and power meter testing, connector certification, and fiber audits.
Substation & Transmission Connectivity
Conduit proofing, single-mode and multimode placement, panel installation, pigtail termination, and labeling for substation and transmission assets.
Critical Site Physical Security
IP video surveillance, secure network equipment, control cabinets, firewalls, security fencing, and crash barriers, with the fiber pathways and electrical circuits that feed them.
